This work is a series of two fundamentally different objects and concepts based on Roger Caillois‘ theory of play. One concept deals with a basic understanding of digitality, the second with our expectations of it.

Coding Coach

The integration of digital content in toys usually remains at the level of pure consumption. As its use grows, a basic understanding of it should be developed. Coding Coach is an analogue coding game that uses puzzles that increase in complexity as the game progresses to provide an introduction to the systematics of the digital world. The focus is on the connection between analogue and digital in the solution of puzzles, the use of code and the coding process itself.

Sphere VR

Sphere VR is a critical examination of VR glasses and our expectations of digitality. Instead of the glasses, the focus is on the wearer or player themselves, as well as their behaviour and movements. It is a game with an alternative approach to the representation of digital content. The player‘s imagination is the main component of the game.

„The most powerful tool: the players own imagination.“ Dan Pinchbeck.
